Mr. Wyder concentrates his practice on representing insurance carriers and self-insured employers in a wide range of workers’ compensation claims, including slips and falls, motor vehicle accidents, occupational disabilities, repetitive stress claims, psychiatric injuries, fraud claims, and employee discrimination claims under the Workers’ Compensation Law. He also handles claims under the Volunteer Firefighters and Volunteer Ambulance Workers Benefit Laws. His experience includes handling litigation before the Workers’ Compensation Board, appeals to the Appellate Division, Third Department, settlement negotiation, settlement drafting, and preparing Medicare set aside agreements. Mr. Wyder has argued claims at the Appellate Division, and has also worked on appeals to New York’s highest appellate court, the New York State Court of Appeals. Before joining Hamberger & Weiss LLP in 2010, he was an assistant district attorney with the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office where he handled both jury and bench trials, in addition to appeals for felony and misdemeanor criminal cases.
He is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association.
