Mr. Coyle has developed a highly focused concentration in the defense of workers' compensation claims. He represents insurance carriers and self-insured employers in a wide range of workers’ compensation claims under the Workers’ Compensation Law. He prides himself on client-focused communication and aggressively defending the interests of insurers and employers.

Mr. Coyle returns to Hamberger and Weiss LLP after first practicing here from 2003-2007.  Following that, Mr. Coyle worked in-house for a Workers’ Compensation insurer and subsequently expanded his experience by representing both claimants and the Special Funds Conservation Committee at the Workers’ Compensation Board.  Drawing on this wide range of representation, he can offer unique insight into the litigation process as seen by claimants and their counsel that allows him to effectively negotiate agreements favorable to his current clients, often in lieu of protracted litigation, or aggressively defend the positions of his clients to successful outcomes.

Mr. Coyle is a member of the New York State and Cattaraugus County Bar Associations as well as the Bar Association of Erie County. Outside the office he enjoys coaching hockey, playing golf and traveling.
