Nicole Graci has been practicing workers’ compensation defense in the Buffalo, NY, office of Hamberger & Weiss since 2000. She oversees the firm’s settlement team and is a frequent presenter on various subjects of NYS Workers’ Compensation Law and Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance. Since 2011, she has written the New York section of The Complete Guide to Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance, Jennifer C. Jordan, Editor-In-Chief. In 2015, she authored the settlement chapter of the New York Workers’ Compensation Handbook By Ronald E. Weiss and Ronald Balter. Ms. Graci graduated summa cum laude from Canisius College with undergraduate degrees in History and Political Science. Foreshadowing her future legal career, Ms. Graci was an undergraduate Hearst Foundation Grant research assistant on The Battle Over School Prayer: How Engel v. Vitale Changed America by Bruce J. Dierenfield, Ph.D. She holds a JD degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a member of the Erie County and NYS Bar Associations, member of the Erie County Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Committee, Treasurer of the Erie County Bar Foundation Board of Directors, President of the Self-Insurers’ Association of the Niagara Frontier, and a member of the NWCDN Medicare Compliance Committee.
